Shuttle Hubs do not operate in Dust Storms.

Shuttle hubs' shuttles are really helpful in building and supplying distant domes and mining facilities. Shuttle's ability of passing long distances in a short time could save a colony in tricky situations.

The Rocket Scientist commander profile unlocks Shuttle Hubs (CO2 Jet Propulsion bonus tech), which provides the ability to setup distant domes and mining facilities from game start.
